We aim to position Ireland as a global centre for insurance innovation and technology, where industry incumbents and start-ups can come together to collaborate and create the next generation of insurance solutions.

InsTech.ie was formally established as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in November 2021. Since then we’ve been helping our members and insurtechs to connect, collaborate and build capability.

InsTech.ie is proud to have been selected in 2024 to receive funding under the Smart Regions Enterprise Innovation Scheme to help support the growth and development of our insurtech cluster. This funding will help us to maximise enterprise collaboration and stimulate the growth and development of the insurtech cluster in Ireland.

InsTech.ie was founded on a clear mission

We exist to connect an evolving ecosystem

InsTech.ie acts as a neutral convener, connecting key stakeholders from across a fractured insurance ecosystem.

We are tasked, under the Department of Finance’s Action Plan for Finance, with building the Irish Insurtech Cluster. We are members of the Central Bank of Ireland’s Financial Services Forum, and sit on the Innovation sub-group within that Forum.

Our Strategic Pillars

Collaboration is key to unlocking our industry's full potential. By joining forces, we can address sector-wide challenges more effectively and leverage the innovative capabilities of insurtechs and other cutting-edge partners to propel our industry forward.

InsTech.ie, as an impartial facilitator, is uniquely positioned to foster cooperation across the entire ecosystem. This collaborative approach enables us to leverage resources and expertise and accelerate innovation.

By embracing this collective mindset, we can develop and deliver superior insurance solutions that truly meet our customers' evolving needs. This unified strategy not only benefits individual companies but also strengthens the industry as a whole, creating a more resilient and adaptive insurance landscape.

Enabling Stronger Collaboration

Building Future-Focused Capability

Developing Future-Ready Capabilities is essential for insurers to excel in our rapidly evolving industry. At InsTech.ie, we're committed to empowering organisations with the skills and knowledge needed to harness new technologies and innovative approaches.

Our research has identified critical skill gaps across the insurance sector, providing valuable insights into the competencies required for future success. In response, we've partnered with trusted partners to create tailored learning programmes that address these specific needs.

By offering these targeted learning opportunities, we aim to strengthen the entire insurance ecosystem, ensuring our industry remains agile, competitive, and well-equipped to meet evolving customer needs.

Growing a Vibrant Community

At the heart of our vision lies the commitment to grow a vibrant community of insurers, insurtechs, and other key stakeholders from across the ecosystem. By fostering a dynamic ecosystem where diverse voices come together, we can share insights, exchange ideas, and tackle challenges collectively.

Our events bring together people from across the ecosystem, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and partnership that can accelerate growth and enhance customer experiences. This vibrant community not only supports individual organisations but also contributes to the overall resilience and adaptability of the industry as a whole. Together, we can shape a future that is innovative, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of our customers.
